@paxilnation: A political novice like Rand Paul should be given some wiggle room to blame his staff, at least while he tests the political waters. That said, I don't see how his staff is to blame for his saying that the government had no right to integrate Woolworth's lunch counters.

1.6 trillion?? I read in the New York Times about one woman who defaulted and made her bank go into panic spasms. Imagine what 100,000 could do! I don't have a credit card but it's a good idea for those who do.

If McCain can pull himself together I think he'll scare Bloomberg away. If the Republicans give the nomination to anyone else (**huckabee**cough, cough) then I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of voters welcomed Bloomberg into the race, if nothing more than as an alternative to HRC.

wouldn't most Independents have made up their mind about voting Republican vs. Democratic? No, I don't think so, beapluss. And a lot of independents can't vote in their state primaries. (Iowa and NH are exceptions.) So there will be a lot of people feeling left out come November...
